Men in the slums

I cannot say that I know the men in Namibia's slum very well since I spent all my time with "their" women. For the most part they were not around - not even at night. They were working far away or more often looking for work. Those I did get to know were those who had given up and who would often sit and drink all day.  This does not make too interesting photography and my stay was too short to get comfortable enough with them - such as in American ghettos - to photograph their frequent gang activities at night when I felt safer around the women or in gay bars.
