Sick woman in Georgia
While Willie Williams always sat hunched up all day staring blankly at a picture of Martin Luther King, his wife Julia was lying in bed - sick and debilitated from hunger. She couldnt afford special diabetic food as they only received $72 a month. They were lonesome and forsaken, forgotten by society in a world of emptiness only interrupted by the cheerless dripping of rain through the ceiling. In 1978 they were both in a nursing home, where they were proudly handed my book when the local media did a full-page story about how they became famous in Europe the only fame and attention they got in their life.
