Note: I consider anyone older than Abraham to belong to Biblical myth. But when I started to compare Biblical chronology with Egyptian chronology - especially the new Egyptian chronology based on two dynasties in the Delta being parallel rather than in extension of each other - I was amazed to find how historically correct the Biblical genealogies seem to be. Not surprising with the historical awareness the old Jews had.
The New Testament genealogies seem far less correct as they were based more on hearsay than historical tradition.
