Jacob Paludan is a Danish author. Paludan's novel Jørgen Stein (1932-33) is considered the most important Bildungsroman of Danish literature between the wars and was the first larger novel I read in my childhood. The story follows the attitudes of three generations from pre-World War I period to the disillusioned generation of the 1920s.
