She was reading a novel by Hanne Vibeke Holst whom I had just had a debate with on Danish TV a few days earlier about the re-election of Bush. She - like most people in the world - hated Bush. I was defending him (that is to say, his campaign as opposed to that of Danish politicians - certainly not his policies!)
