I had filled up my Toyota Land cruiser with 10 bare breasted women on their way to a funeral in northern Kaokoland. When they got off they took turns to look at themselves in the mirror, laughing and giggling. Right then - between 4 or
5 in the afternoon - I heard on the BBC car radio about the terrible events in New York. To experience this high tech madness among people almost living in the stone age was indeed very choking.
