Virginia and I have been friends ever since she was a young mother of 16. Her son Louis is seen on page 25 in my book (page 20 in old Danish book), but was severely burned when the stove next to him burned their shack down. Today he is in prison. Virginia was a grandmother when she was 32. Her husband works in the prison seen in "Dead man walking" and actually acted in the movie. He and Virginia adopted a 16 year old kid who got into trouble with the result that he had to walk his own son to his execution just like seen in the movie.
