Old woman in North Carolina



I had a terrible time in all the homes I stayed in Washington, NC. I stayed one night in this shotgun shack where the mother screamed all night in a piercing soprano at her son, because he had brought a white guy home to share his bed. I hid his pistol in a stack of clothes for fear that they would use it against each other. This is his grandmother as she was walking out of the room next morning.
