New Outlook's Chanukah was this year
with Cantor Dorothy Goldberg lightening the candles in this celebration
of hope.
We needed hope extra much this year since very few people unfortunately
dared to show up due to the fast spreading Omicron Corona virus.
Dorothy is educated in The Academy for Jewish Religion in New York and
has served in congregations in Connecticut, New Jersey, Washington and
Puerto Rico
until now when she is a contor in Shir Hatzafon in Copenhagen. For me it
was nevertheless a special joyful event this year since Dorothy's
boyfriend is my old co-worker David Miller,
who once presented American Pictures all over Scandinavia and Finland as
well as in this lecture room in our headquarter.
Here in the Ubunto House he at that time lived with his ex-wife Annete
(also seen in the photos with their daughter) in the room in which Mette
Geldman is photographed in the
favorite chair of our former chief rabbi Bent Melchior (talking
in English about his life here). This is now the office of
Melchior's companion in
the
Bridge Builders, Özlem Cekic.
